Cats For Life, Inc. is a foster-based, all-volunteer 501(c)(3) rescue. We're not a shelter, our cats live in real homes, surrounded by people who love them, until they find families of their own.
We rescue stray and abandoned cats across Greater Houston, give them the medical care they need, and match them with loving adopters. Because every cat lives in a foster home, we get to know their real personalities, so we can make adoptions that truly last.
We believe spaying and neutering is the kindest, most effective way to end the cycle of homeless cats, and it's at the core of everything we do.
Cats For Life was founded by Mary Kay, whose phone still rings at dawn when a neighbor finds a mama cat moving her kittens to safety. That dedication, answering the call, every time, is who we are.
We're a small organization powered entirely by volunteers and the generosity of our community. There's always more to do, and always room for more helping hands.
We're often at capacity, but we never want a cat left without help. These trusted Houston-area partners may be able to assist.
